So the real terrorists are the ones we cannot see who hide in darkness of the forest. Many scientists are looking into what can be done to prevent the further spread of this disease. Some of these Redwood trees are many hundreds of years old and if this pathogen continues to jump species and spread it could jeopardize all the forests on the west coast. If you have any ideas; pass them on. Think on it.

When we ditch important research like this we lessen our chances of better understanding the world we live in and we are less likely to find ways and solutions to protect the American People from harm. Now some people may not like the data coming back from such satellites, me included, yet let me tell you it is better to know what we are dealing with than to be guessing and do something which we will be sorry for in the future.

For instance if we believe that global warming is occurring and it turns out to be a natural cycle and occurrence then we may end up destroying the world?s economies unnecessarily when all that we are proposing will not make any difference, thus our weakened state may prevent us from better preparing our civilization for future issues which are so likely to occur. Additionally if human activity is causing much of the climate shift, well then we need to know that too, even if we sit on our fannies and do nothing about it.

Since Hurricane Season is almost here wouldn?t it make more sense to have all the possible data available to us to help us understand, predict and potentially eventually defeat these storms? Consider all this in 2006.

It’s the best way to ensure a business will end up where the business owner wants it to be. Whether that’s in terms of the type of business it becomes, its size, how many products or services it provides, or how much money it makes.

Then I told her that when I teach, I often use the analogy of going grocery shopping without a list. Now, if you’ve ever done this you know what happens (especially if you ALSO shop while you’re hungry!). You spend twice as much money AND you come home with all kinds of stuff you really don’t need.

Operating your business without a marketing plan is sort of like that, too. You very often spend twice as much money and get fewer results, or you end up spending money on marketing activities you don’t really need or that don’t contribute to achieving the goals you want to achieve.

Why is that? Because you don’t have anything to guide you in your decision-making about what marketing to do and what to pass on.

Think about all the things in our lives we DO plan.

Historic Landmark in Arizona Goes Solar

    Business Wire, May 19, 2010

PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. — A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for May 20 to celebrate the solar
panels installed at El Chorro Lodge, an Arizona landmark and one of the
    area’s last traditional fine-dining establishments.

We are pleased to partner with El Chorro on this significant project,?
said Angiolo Laviziano, CEO of REC Solar. Many savvy entrepreneurs are
adopting solar to both lower their operating costs and to expand their
    sustainability objectives,? added Laviziano.

“REC Solar is bringing high quality solar projects and green jobs to
Phoenix. I am honored to work with REC Solar to build a truly Green
    Phoenix,” said Mayor Phil Gordon.

The 142 kW system was constructed with 648 REC220 panels. The system
will produce 5,344,719 kWh of clean electricity over its lifetime and
reduce approximately 7.5M pounds of greenhouse gas. REC Group is proud
to have our modules installed on such an important landmark and will
continue to work with business and government to support economic
development in the region by creating jobs and making solar energy more
accessible,? said Regional Director USA, Marius Kroksj, REC Group.

So much of El Chorro is about history and respect. When we embrace
opportunities like solar technology, were respecting our surroundings
and making new history for this cherished landmark,? said El Chorro
owner and operating partner, Jacquie Dorrance. Its been a pleasure to
work with REC on advancing El Chorros sustainability agenda and goals.?
The solar work at El Chorro is a great example of what can be
accomplished when you place the environment as a priority and value the
many ways it can support your business objectives,? said Jerry Meek,
president of Desert Star Construction. With help from REC, El Chorro
now offsets more than half of its annual energy consumption.?

The celebration will include speakers from the mayors office, REC Solar
and El Chorro. There will also be a short tour of the panels and the
solar monitoring system, a dedication to Jacquie Dorrance, one of El
    Chorros founders, and light refreshment

It does! But for me it quickly become almost like a hobby and doesn?t feel like work at all. If you want to get rich quick this isn?t the way to do it ? but let?s face it, that isn?t how things work.

Yet, if you want to build your passive income then this is the way. You will have to buy a few products to set you up but if you do your research properly this will be money well spent ? it should pay back many, many times over.

Now you may ask – what expertise do I have that could earn an income? This is the big question and a pretty important one to! Sit down with a pencil and paper and write down all the options you have, these could be

Your expertise in your current job.

You may be a fitness coach who has a skill of bringing out the best in your clients, you could create an ebook with your own specialized routines and motivational tips. You could be responsible for the computers at your workplace and have picked up some useful ways to optimise PCs, which software is best for certain tasks or where to get a good deal.

Atlantique Cafe simply satisfies with breakfast, lunch menu

    0 Comments | Palm Beach Post, Jul 15, 2010

    MENU

The breakfast menu offers a mouthwatering and lengthy list of egg dishes, as well as some options to satisfy your morning sweet tooth. The lunch menu has your basic sandwiches, burgers and salads, ranging in price from $4.50 for a grilled cheese with fries to $9.95 for a Caesar salad with steak.

    ATMOSPHERE

    Casual, clean and simple.

    OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

The eggs Benedict ($8.50) was delicious, and the veggie omelet ($7.70 with egg white substitution) had the perfect ratio of egg to veggies in my opinion, which means it was a veggie overload. We’re also huge pancake fans, so we had to order their short stack ($3.99) to see how it stacked up to other restaurants. We weren’t disappointed. The pancakes had a hint of fruity flavor, and they were slightly burnt on the edges, giving them that homemade griddle taste.

    REASON TO GO

This restaurant is a hidden gem in downtown Delray Beach, so you won’t have to wait for a table. And all of the food on the breakfast menu is outstanding.

    SERVICE

Our server was friendly and checked on us regularly to make sure our coffee cups were full.

    NOISE LEVEL

The restaurant wasn’t too crowded, so the noise level was pleasant

Of all the places in the body that can hurt, the face might seem the strangest. But for some people, that’s exactly where the agony occurs, and the cause is a nerve gone haywire.

How peripheral nerves involve themselves in pain is sometimes confusing. Here’s a handy way to think of the two basic patterns:

#1: The nerve is the messenger. If you have a dental abscess, a facial sunburn or a sinus infection, you can count on pain being present. Where does it come from? Special nerve endings detect the tissue-injury and generate electrical impulses. The peripheral nerves carry these impulses into the brain. The peripheral nerves didn’t CAUSE the pain, they’re just carrying the bad news. (Don’t shoot the messenger!)

#2: The nerve itself is the mischief-maker.

    My websites was once hacked
with a domain hijacking and I was weary of people who would
go to lengths to ruin people’s day. There are many companies
who create and design anti-spyware and thank the lord for
Norton antivirus and McFee to block all the hacking efforts.

The FBI supposedly uses keylogger and other spyware to spy on known criminals and I can understand how it can be used
on the right side of the law. But on the wrong side of the
law or unethical uses by “black hat” users it can have a
devastating effect on a website owner.

I just hope that there are enough people out there to know
that hacking is unethical if not illegal and hope there are
technologies to prevent unauthorized use of the internet.
It’s bad enough for most of us marketers trying to stay on the
good side of the spam laws without worrying about hackers.

Pacman wants Margarito at 150 pounds

    0 Comments | Manila Bulletin, July 25, 2010

Manny Pacquiao will demand that a planned Nov. 13 fight versus Antonio Margarito of Mexico be fought at a catch weight of 150 pounds.

“One-hundred fifty pounds,” Pacquiao’s lawyer Franklin Gacal said Sunday when asked about the Pacquiao-Margarito bout for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) super-welterweight crown.

The super-welter division has a limit of 154 lbs and Pacquiao’s camp believes it is fair that Margarito agree to such a unique weight setup being a naturally bigger fighter.

Although the 5’11″ Margarito has fought mostly at welterweight (147 lbs.), he has campaigned seven times at super-welter.

The Mexican has a 38-6-0 win-loss-draw record with 27 knockouts.

The 5’6″ Pacquiao, who started out at light-fly (108 lbs.) before racking up world titles up to welter, has never fought at super-welter, having only seen action at welter three times.

Pacquiao, armed with a 51-3-2 slate with 38 knockouts, beat Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey in his welterweight fights.

“Margarito is big and tall even at super-welter,” Gacal noed.

Arum is still in the process of finalizing the Pacquiao-Margarito deal and while it appears it is a go for November, the venue remains a mystery.

Arum wants it to take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where his company is based. But there are other cities bidding to host it: Abu Dhabi, Dallas and Monterrey (Mexico).

Mike Koncz, Pacquiao’s Canadian adviser, is still in the US, trying to get the best deal for his boss.”I’ll get what’s the best deal that I could get for Manny,” Koncz said.

Car check could save Pounds 468 a year

    0 Comments | Brentwood Gazette, Jul 28, 2010

RISING fuel prices are making motorists more conscious about their driving habits.

Nearly half of all drivers have said they are trying to use their cars less while two per cent have stopped carrying passengers to make their cars more efficient.

However, only half of us have considered altering driving style by being economical despite the fact Ford tests have revealed economical driving and basic maintenance can cut fuel bills by up to a quarter – saving the average driver Pounds 468 a year.

Allen Ford in Brentwood is offering a new Econo Check service to help people make the most of their fuel.

Technicians will check the car’s tyre pressure and condition, air filter cleanliness and other factors affecting fuel consumption during a 35-point inspection, after which the customer is invited to drive as normal for one week, returning their data logger by post in order to receive a personalised e-mail report about their driving.

The report will reveal data regarding gear changes, anticipation, acceleration, braking and recommending where driving style adjustments could improve fuel economy and emissions and showing the total fuel and CO2 savings possible.

    The service costs Pounds 30.
